TweetDelete started out as a project from software developer Richard West. He founded the company in 2011 after creating several other websites and software services. In the process of selling another X (then named Twitter)- based service he’d built, a conversation with a buyer sparked the idea for TweetDelete. The buyer wanted to minimize her online footprint due to privacy concerns. So, she wanted a service that would automatically mass-delete old tweets from her account.
Since then, Tweet Delete has become one of the most well-known tweet deletion services. Our app has been used by more than 5 million unique people, including over 2 million people who now use this service to delete tweets continuously.
In the digital era, every word you say can be put under a microscope and affect your life, even outside of X. Since TweetDelete’s launch in 2011, it’s been our goal to help Twitter users reduce their digital footprint, preserve their privacy, and protect their reputation. For over a decade, we’ve provided people with the tools to manage their privacy and online image.
Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished just since 2024:
We are a team of developers and customer support experts who believe digital
privacy should be a fundamental right. Twitter has a global user base, so we
understand the need for 24/7 customer support. Our team is always available to
help and will resolve any issues you have as quickly as possible.
Marjun heads all things content at TweetDelete. From content blog strategy to web copy and news updates, she’s leading the pack. With a background rooted in customer service, social media analysis, and digital writing, Marjun brings a unique, user-first lens to every piece she edits, creates, or manages.
She was interested in working at TweetDelete because of her passion for online privacy, especially when helping users take control of their Twitter data. Prior to joining our team, she honed her skills crafting content that balanced technical know-how with an engaging, reader-friendly writing approach.
When she’s not deep-diving into privacy trends or editing, Marjun prefers to spend her free time off the grid with a good book.
